WELCOME!
Considering organ donation has been around for over 50 years (yep, you read that right!), it’s still seen as a taboo and super uncomfortable topic of conversation- we’re here to change that!
While waiting for my new heart I relied on podcasts to ease my anxieties about my upcoming transplant but I struggled to find one that was lighthearted and enjoyable to listen to so @thekatzpyjamaz and I decided to create one that does exactly that!
We ultimately decided to make this podcast to raise awareness for organ donation, destroy any myths and misconceptions that surround transplants and give you a real life glimpse into life pre and post transplant. But most importantly we want you to initiate conversations about organ donation- talk about it with your family, friends, neighbours or even your damn dog!
Let’s make organ donation a topic of conversation that doesn’t feel morbid or make people feel uncomfortable but let’s shine the light on the brave donors, their families and the lives changed through this miraculous process.
